November Challenge - Autumn Inspired Altered Project

Post  erin on Tue Nov 04, 2008 2:55 pm

Good morning, ladies! I finished my "altered item" yesterday and I would love to share it with you! I chose to do a mini-album because I LOVE them!! The album measures 4"x6" and holds 6 photos and 2 large journaling pages. The binding is new for me, though. Hopefully you can tell from some of the pictures but there is a piece of cardstock folded "accordian style" then the pages are adhered in between. The ribbon crossing over the top (and secured with eyelets) are the actual binding of the book. I really liked using this technique, even if it was a bit tricky to get it all lined up. Well, with no further ado, here it is:

Thanks, Erin!! Yep, those are ticket stubs! I made them myself on the computer, using Word, printed them out and chalked them Very Happy
Oh, I would say the whole thing is about 20" or so, maybe 21.

Well here is my project. I'm not having a very good day as far as posting pics. LOL There are 8 pages in total but I figured it would be a little boring to show them all. This is going to be a gift for my Mom and I thought I would keep the embellies simple so her Thanksgiving guests could leave her a little message. I also thought some wallet size photo's would be cute.

Marie - it turned out wonderful! did that paper (the background paper that you used for the pages) come in that shape? Where did you get them (what manufacturer)? They are great!

It's beautiful, Marie!!! I'm also curious to know how you shaped your papers like that, or if they were made that way?!
