Stamped Image Swap

Post  BamaButtercup on Fri Oct 24, 2008 5:04 pm

Hello everyone. Who would be interested in doing a stamped image swap? Here's how it works: Anyone who wished to participates signs up here. One person is designated as the "Host" (I'd be glad to do this unless someone else really wants to instead or has more experience with this than me). She gives us her mailing address. We stamp our image(s) onto cards for as many participants as we have. Usually you stamp them in black or brown ink onto white or off-white cardstock. That way, you can use them for most anything. Then we mail our stamped images along with a self-addressed, stamped evelope to the host. Once she has received them all, she divides them all up and sends them back out to all the participants. You get new images from everyone who played.

So if you wanna play, sign up here!

BTW...I think that this will work for all of us, even our Internationals. You will pay whatever it takes to mail them here and will have included your envelope with the correct amount of postage for it to get back to you. Is this right? Not sure how international mail works. Correct me if I'm wrong, please.

Nope..not at all. We haven't closed the invitation yet. Let's give anyone else wanting to join until November 15th to join and then we'll get started so we can have it finished before the holidays. Sound good to everyone?

He Telah-I have someone interested in this who doesn't belong to the board here. Should I just PM you her info? It's actually my Mom so I would just mail her stuff with mine.

OK. So it looks like we have the following who want to do the stamped image swap:

a1rose
erin
Karenwendy81
MarieLevite
MarieLevite's Mom
Myself (Bamabuttercup)

So I guess now I need to PM everyone my mailing address. You will then do your stamps on white or off white cardstock with either black or brown ink. You will need to do 6 sets of each. Mail them to me (best to put them in a ziploc and include some thin cardboard so they won't get damaged) along with your self-addressed and stamped envelope to be returned in. You can mail them in 5x7 envelopes. Any questions, just let me know!

Great job Erin! I didn't send mine out yet. Sorry. Embarassed I was waiting on a new set of Pink Paislee stamps Laughing and they arrived today! Can't wait to use them. I just want to get this straight. We stamp one image or one full set of images?

Whichever you prefer to do is fine. As long as there are enough for each person participating.

We just moved (again!) and I can't find most of my stamps so I didn't use anything tooooo spectacular (like, nothing new and trendy) but I picked some of my faves. I sent 5 sets with 9 different images in each set. I also stamped a few extra of each for me to keep in my stash. Surprised)

Thanks Girls. Wow Erin you are a busy girl!! I only got the trendy stamps because I found them on Peachy Cheap. TWO set's of Pink Paislee stamps for $16.98 with shipping. Kind of thought it was worth the wait. Going to stamp mine tonight.
I'm also wondering if any of you want to exchange personal e mail addys....not sure how long the site is going to stay up.
