Die-cut machines Empty Die-cut machines

What kind of die-cut machines do you have, if any? What are their pro's and con's? Do you use it much?

I have a QK Silhouette. The pro's are of course the fact that you can cut just about anything with this machine, in almost any size (as long as it fits in the machine, of course). The con's is that it needs to be hooked up to the computer and also, it takes a while to learn how it all works. I haven't gotten 100% control over it yet, but I'm working on it! Very Happy I use it quite a bit, so it's been a good buy for me so far!

I had the Silhouette and I absolutely hated it. I thought it was ridiculously complex and it wasted so much paper. I actually sold it on Ebay. I think I want a Cricut but I doubt I will dish out the dough any time soon. affraid

I have a Cricut, which I really like- it's very easy to use. The only problem is the cartridges are quite expensive so I only have 2 at the moment.

Karen - have you visited the Custom Crops website (www.customcrops.com)? they have cricut cartridges for much less than other places I have seen them, not sure about international shipping though.

their cartridges start out at like $38.99 for the majority of them and higher for specialty or licensed ones. From my research, that's a really good deal...

The also have great deals on the actual machine, for anyone who is looking for one. They have the Cricut Expression WITH two cartridges of your choice (yeah - YOUR CHOICE!) for $279.99 and usually free shipping. Very cool.
